  • Understanding pH Levels: Acidic, Basic, and Neutral Explained
    1. Acidic pH

Acidic pH refers to a pH value that is below 7. pH values range from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. Values below 7 indicate acidity, while values above 7 indicate basicity.

    2. Basic pH

A basic pH refers to a pH value above 7. Basic solutions are characterized by an excess of hydroxide ions (OH-) compared to hydrogen ions (H+). The higher the pH value, the more basic the solution becomes.

    3. Neutral pH

A neutral pH is a pH value of exactly 7. At neutral pH, the concentration of hydrogen ions (H+) and hydroxide ions (OH-) in a solution are equal. Pure water has a neutral pH of 7, as it contains an equal number of hydrogen and hydroxide ions.
