  • Olympic Athletes vs. Invertebrates: A Strength & Performance Comparison
This is an unfair comparison. Invertebrates are extremely diverse, and some of them are capable of incredible feats of strength, speed, and endurance. For example, some ants can lift objects hundreds of times their own weight, some beetles can run faster than a cheetah, and some spiders can spin webs that are stronger than steel.

While Olympic athletes are undoubtedly some of the most physically fit humans in the world, they would be hard-pressed to compete with some of the most extreme invertebrates.
