  • Older Male Birds and Extra-Pair Copulations: Separating Fact from Fiction
    This premise is not accurate. In general, older male birds are not more likely to father illegitimate children than younger males. While it is true that older males may have more mating experience and may be able to attract more females, there is no evidence to suggest that they are more likely to engage in extra-pair copulations (EPCs) or produce illegitimate offspring.
