Most American cannot currently be identified by a relative's DNA, but advancements in genetic genealogy and DNA databases are making thi increasingly possible. While many individuals have their DNA profiled in public databases, a significant portion of the population has yet to participate. As more individuals contribute tho their DNA, the likelihood of identifying a relaitve through DNA analysis increases. However, privacy concerns and ethical consideration also surround the use of genetic information for identification purposes.
