  • Robins Favor Right-Eyed Decoy Eggs: A Study in Avian Vision
    American robins (Turdus migratorius) have a preference for looking at right-eyed decoy eggs when presented with a choice between left-eyed and right-eyed eggs.

    This preference may be due to the fact that female American robins incubate the eggs at an angle on the left side of their body, causing them to view their own and neighboring robin eggs with their right eye
