The first step in cloning is to take a cell from the animal you want to copy. This cell can come from any part of the animal's body, but it is typically taken from a skin cell or a blood cell.

Step 4: Implant the egg into the uterus of a surrogate mother.

The next step is to implant the egg into the uterus of a surrogate mother. The surrogate mother will carry the egg to term and give birth to the cloned animal.

Step 5: The cloned animal is born!

After about nine months, the surrogate mother will give birth to the cloned animal. The cloned animal will be genetically identical to the animal that the cell was taken from.
