* Technically, no plant is "close" to stars. Stars are incredibly far away. Even the closest star to our Sun, Proxima Centauri, is 4.24 light-years away. That's about 25 trillion miles!
* Plants on Earth are very, very far away from any stars. They're all within our solar system.
* Stars are extremely hot. Plants would be instantly vaporized if they were anywhere near a star.
So, what's the closest thing to a star? That would be other stars! Some stars are much closer together than our Sun and its nearest neighbors.
