  • Understanding Solar Radiation: Types of Waves Emitted by the Sun
The Sun emits a variety of waves, but the most well-known are:

    * Electromagnetic radiation: This includes light (visible, ultraviolet, infrared), radio waves, X-rays, and gamma rays. These are all forms of energy that travel at the speed of light.

    * Solar wind: This is a stream of charged particles (mainly protons and electrons) that constantly flows out from the Sun. It's not technically a wave, but it does carry energy and momentum.

It's important to note that the Sun doesn't have a single type of wave; it emits a wide spectrum of radiation, including both electromagnetic waves and particles.
