  • Sun's Composition: Protons & Electrons Explained
The Sun is primarily composed of two subatomic particles:

    * Protons: These are positively charged particles found in the nucleus of atoms. They make up about 71% of the Sun's mass.

    * Electrons: These are negatively charged particles that orbit the nucleus of atoms. They make up about 28% of the Sun's mass.

While the Sun is mostly made of hydrogen and helium, these elements are further broken down into protons and electrons. The Sun also contains a small amount of other elements, which also contain their own protons and electrons.

It's important to note that the Sun's core also contains a small amount of neutrinos, which are subatomic particles with no charge and very little mass.
