  • Sun's Radiation Intensity: Where is it Greatest?
The Sun emits the greatest intensity of radiation from its photosphere, which is the visible surface of the Sun. This is the layer where the Sun's energy is released as light and heat.

    Here's why:

    * Energy Production: The Sun's energy is produced in its core through nuclear fusion.

    * Energy Transport: This energy then travels outwards through the radiative zone and the convective zone.

    * Photosphere: The photosphere is the outermost layer where the energy is finally released as light and heat.

While the Sun's corona, the outermost layer, is extremely hot, it's much less dense than the photosphere. This means that the total amount of radiation emitted from the corona is much less than from the photosphere, even though it's much hotter.
