  • Reflection of Light: Common Non-Luminous Surfaces
    Here are two non-luminous things that light is bouncing off of (reflecting):

    1. A mirror: Mirrors are designed to reflect light very efficiently, allowing us to see our reflection.

    2. A white piece of paper: While not as reflective as a mirror, white paper scatters light in many directions, making it appear bright. This is why we can read a book in sunlight.
