"Seasons in the Sun" was written in 1961 by Jacques Brel, a Belgian singer-songwriter.

It was originally titled "Le Moribond" (The Dying Man) and was part of his album "Jacques Brel chante Jacques Brel".

However, the song became popular in English thanks to a 1974 cover version by Terry Jacks, which was released in Canada and the United States.
