  • Star Color at 3000°C: Understanding Stellar Temperatures and Colors
Stars with a surface temperature of 3000 degrees Celsius would appear red to our eyes.

    Here's why:

    * Star Color and Temperature: The color of a star is directly related to its surface temperature. Hotter stars emit more blue light, while cooler stars emit more red light.

    * Spectral Classification: Astronomers classify stars based on their color and temperature. A star with a 3000 degree Celsius surface temperature would fall within the M spectral class, which are known for their reddish appearance.

While 3000 degrees Celsius might seem incredibly hot, it's actually relatively cool compared to other stars. Our Sun, for example, has a surface temperature of around 5500 degrees Celsius and appears yellow.
