  • Sun Composition: What is the Sun Made Of? - Hydrogen, Helium & More
    The sun is primarily composed of:

    * Hydrogen (H): About 70.6% of the sun's mass.

    * Helium (He): About 27.4% of the sun's mass.

    The remaining 2% is made up of heavier elements, such as:

    * Oxygen (O)

    * Carbon (C)

    * Neon (Ne)

    * Iron (Fe)

    These heavier elements are much less abundant but play important roles in the sun's energy production and structure.
