  • Sun vs. Hubble Telescope: A Size Comparison
The Sun is much, much bigger than the Hubble Telescope.

    Here's why:

    * The Sun: Our Sun is a massive star with a diameter of about 865,000 miles (1.39 million kilometers).

    * The Hubble Telescope: The Hubble Telescope is a satellite about the size of a large school bus, with a diameter of about 43 feet (13 meters).

To put it in perspective: The Sun is about 109 times wider than the Earth. The Hubble Telescope is only about 1/10th the size of a football field.
