  • Venus: The Planet Where a Day Equals a Year (Almost!)
The planet with a day and year that are the same length is Venus.

    Here's why:

    * Venus's Rotation: Venus rotates incredibly slowly, taking about 243 Earth days to complete one rotation on its axis.

    * Venus's Orbit: Venus orbits the Sun in about 225 Earth days.

Because its rotation period is slightly longer than its orbital period, a day on Venus is actually longer than a year!
