  • Sirius Star: Size, Color & System Details - A Comprehensive Guide
Sirius is a white star, and it's actually a binary system consisting of two stars:

    * Sirius A: This is the brighter, main star. It's classified as an A-type main-sequence star. It's about twice the mass of our Sun and 25 times more luminous.

    * Sirius B: This is a white dwarf that is about the size of the Earth but with a mass slightly less than that of the Sun.

So, while the size of Sirius B is relatively small, Sirius A is significantly larger than our Sun. It's about 1.7 times the Sun's diameter.
