  • Venus & Earth: Exploring the Inner Planets' Atmospheres
The two inner planets with thick atmospheres are:

    * Venus: Venus has a very dense and hot atmosphere, composed mainly of carbon dioxide. This thick atmosphere traps heat, leading to an extremely hot surface temperature.

    * Earth: Earth has a relatively thick atmosphere, primarily composed of nitrogen and oxygen. This atmosphere is essential for life, providing protection from harmful solar radiation and regulating temperature.

While Mars has a thin atmosphere, it is not considered thick. Mercury essentially has no atmosphere.
