  • NASA's First Spacecraft: The Pioneering X-15
NASA's first spaceship was actually not a single, named spacecraft. It was a series of test vehicles called the X-15.

The X-15 was a rocket-powered aircraft developed in the 1950s and 1960s. It was the first vehicle to officially reach space (above 100 km altitude) and played a crucial role in the early development of spaceflight technology.

While it didn't have a single, overarching name, it was a pivotal stepping stone in NASA's journey to space exploration.
