  • Why No One Has Landed on Jupiter: Exploring the Gas Giant
No one has ever landed on Jupiter.

    Here's why:

    * Jupiter is a gas giant. It doesn't have a solid surface like Earth or Mars.

    * Extreme conditions: Jupiter has a crushing atmosphere with intense pressure and extremely low temperatures. Any spacecraft attempting to land would be destroyed.

Instead of landing, several probes have flown by Jupiter and even entered its orbit to study the planet. The most famous is the Juno spacecraft, which is currently orbiting Jupiter and sending back amazing data and images.
