Here's how it happens:
* Gravity's Role: Gravity pulls the gas and dust particles within the nebula together.
* Core Formation: As the particles get closer, they collide and heat up. Eventually, a dense, hot core forms at the center of the nebula.
* Nuclear Fusion: When the core gets hot enough (millions of degrees!), nuclear fusion begins. This is the process where hydrogen atoms fuse together to form helium, releasing enormous amounts of energy. This energy is what makes stars shine!
* Starbirth: The release of energy from nuclear fusion creates outward pressure that balances the inward pull of gravity. This stable state is what we call a star.
