  • Multiple Star Systems: Understanding Stellar Companions
It's estimated that around 50% of stars are in multiple-star systems.

This means that roughly half the stars in the Milky Way galaxy are part of systems with two or more stars orbiting around each other.

However, this is a rough estimate and the actual percentage could be slightly higher or lower. Astronomers are constantly refining their understanding of star formation and the prevalence of multiple-star systems.
