  • Asteroid Belt: Understanding Objects Between Mars & Jupiter
There are no planets with orbits between Mars and Jupiter.

The region between Mars and Jupiter is called the asteroid belt, and it's home to a vast number of rocky objects called asteroids. These asteroids are much smaller than planets and range in size from pebbles to dwarf planets like Ceres.

While some asteroids can be quite large, none of them are massive enough to be considered planets. They are remnants from the early solar system that never fully coalesced into a planet.
