  • Procyon A Temperature: Understanding the Star's Heat
Procyon is a binary star system, but when we talk about its temperature, we usually refer to the primary star, Procyon A.

Procyon A has a surface temperature of around 6,500 Kelvin (K). This makes it slightly cooler than our Sun, which has a surface temperature of about 5,778 K.

Note: The temperature of a star is measured by its effective temperature, which is the temperature of a blackbody that would emit the same total amount of radiation as the star.
