  • The Origin of Log Books: A History Beyond Johannes Kepler
Johannes Kepler did not invent log books.

Log books have been used for centuries for recording nautical information like a ship's position, speed, course, and weather conditions. Their origins can be traced back to the 15th century, well before Kepler's time.

Kepler was a renowned astronomer and mathematician who is famous for his laws of planetary motion. While he certainly used detailed records in his research, his contributions were not related to the development of log books.
