  • Finding Polaris: Which Constellation Guides You to the North Star?
The constellation that points to the North Star is Ursa Major, also known as the Great Bear.

Specifically, two stars in Ursa Major, Dubhe and Merak, form the outer edge of the "bowl" of the Big Dipper. If you draw an imaginary line through these two stars and extend it about five times the distance between them, you will reach Polaris, the North Star.
