  • Betelgeuse vs. Planets: Understanding Stellar Size
    Betelgeuse is a star, not a planet.

    It's a red supergiant, and it's actually much bigger than any planet in our solar system. In fact, it's so large that if it were to replace our Sun, its surface would extend beyond the orbit of Mars!

    While it's true that some stars are larger than Betelgeuse, there are no planets that come close to its size.
