The outermost planet in our solar system until March 1999 was Pluto.

It was considered the ninth planet from the Sun. However, in 2006, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) reclassified Pluto as a dwarf planet due to its size and the presence of other similar objects in the Kuiper belt.
