  • Exploring the Galactic Center: What's Around Sagittarius A*?
Near the center of the Milky Way lies a supermassive black hole called Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*).

Here's what else is found in the galactic center:

    * Dense star cluster: The galactic center is home to a dense cluster of stars, including many massive and old stars.

    * Gas and dust: The center is also filled with gas and dust, which makes it difficult to observe with visible light telescopes.

    * Active star formation: The intense gravitational pull of the black hole and the dense environment create conditions for active star formation.

    * Other interesting objects: Astronomers have also detected other interesting objects in the galactic center, such as pulsars, neutron stars, and supernova remnants.

While it's impossible to see Sgr A* directly with our eyes, astronomers can study it using radio telescopes and other methods.
