2. Rigel (β Orionis)
* A blue supergiant, it is the 7th brightest star in the night sky.
* Located in the lower right foot of Orion.
3. Bellatrix (γ Orionis)
* A blue-white giant star, it is the 27th brightest star in the night sky.
* Located in the upper right shoulder of Orion.
4. Mintaka (δ Orionis)
* A triple star system, the brightest component is a blue-white giant.
* Located in the belt of Orion.
5. Alnilam (ε Orionis)
* A blue supergiant, it is the 35th brightest star in the night sky.
* Located in the middle of Orion's belt.
6. Alnitak (ζ Orionis)
* A triple star system, the brightest component is a blue supergiant.
* Located in the belt of Orion, to the left of Alnilam.
7. Saiph (κ Orionis)
* A blue-white supergiant, it is the 53rd brightest star in the night sky.
* Located in the lower left knee of Orion.
These are the major stars that form the distinctive outline of Orion. There are many other smaller stars in the constellation, but these are the most prominent and easiest to identify.
