  • Jupiter's Rapid Rotation: Why Days Are So Short
It's not that days on Jupiter are *shorter* than Earth's, it's that they're much faster! Here's why:

    * Rotation Speed: Jupiter spins incredibly fast on its axis. It takes about 10 hours to complete one rotation, compared to Earth's 24 hours.

    * Definition of a Day: A day is defined as the time it takes for a planet to complete one full rotation on its axis.

So, while a Jupiter "day" is only 10 hours long, it's actually spinning much faster than Earth.
