  • Orion's Belt Age: Understanding the Stars' Formation
Orion's Belt isn't an object with a singular age like a rock or a star. It's a grouping of three stars: Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka.

These stars formed within the Orion Nebula, a massive cloud of gas and dust where new stars are born. The nebula is estimated to be around 1 to 2 million years old, meaning the stars in Orion's Belt are within that age range.

It's important to remember that stars don't all form simultaneously within a nebula. Some stars in the Belt may be slightly older or younger than the others.
