  • Seeing Stars on Rainy Nights: Why They Seem to Disappear
This is a bit of a trick question! There are still stars in the sky on a rainy night, they're just obscured by the clouds.

    Here's why:

    * Clouds block light: Clouds are thick enough to block the faint light from distant stars.

    * Reflection: The light from our city lights or moon reflects off the rain clouds, making the sky appear brighter and hiding the stars.

So, while it may seem like there are no stars, they are still there, just waiting for the clouds to pass!
