  • Planets Beyond Our Solar System: Exploring Exoplanets and Beyond
It depends on what you mean by "other planets than 9"!

    * Our solar system: As of now, we have eight planets in our solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet in 2006.

    * Other solar systems: There are billions of planets in our galaxy alone, and likely billions more in other galaxies. Scientists are constantly discovering new planets outside our solar system (called exoplanets).

So, while our solar system has only eight planets, there are countless other planets out there!
