  • Uranus, Neptune & Pluto: Planets with Tilted Orbits - Space Explored
The three planets that orbit the Sun in a different way than all other planets are Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto (although Pluto is now classified as a dwarf planet).

    Here's why:

    * Their axes of rotation are significantly tilted. Unlike other planets whose rotational axes are relatively close to perpendicular to their orbital planes, Uranus and Neptune have axes that are tilted almost 90 degrees. This means they essentially rotate on their sides. Pluto's axis is tilted at an even more extreme angle.

This unique feature sets them apart from the rest of the planets in our solar system.
