  • The Sun's Energy: How Heat and Light are Created
The Sun does give off heat and light. Here's why:

    * Nuclear Fusion: The Sun's energy comes from nuclear fusion reactions happening in its core. Hydrogen atoms are forced together to form helium, releasing enormous amounts of energy.

    * Electromagnetic Radiation: This energy is released as electromagnetic radiation, which includes light and heat.

    * Visible Light: The light we see from the Sun is a small part of this radiation, spanning the colors of the rainbow.

    * Infrared Radiation: The Sun also emits infrared radiation, which we experience as heat.

So, yes, the Sun gives off both light and heat!
