  • Sun's Interior: Layers and Structure Explained
The inside of the Sun is called the solar interior. It's divided into several layers:

    * Core: The innermost layer, where nuclear fusion takes place, generating the Sun's energy.

    * Radiative Zone: A layer where energy travels outward through radiation.

    * Convective Zone: A layer where energy is transported by convection, like boiling water.

    * Photosphere: The visible surface of the Sun, where sunlight originates.

    * Chromosphere: A thin layer above the photosphere, where solar flares and prominences occur.

    * Corona: The outermost layer of the Sun's atmosphere, extending millions of kilometers into space.

However, the term "inside of the Sun" often refers to the core, where the most important processes happen.
