* Stars produce their own light and heat through nuclear fusion. They are massive balls of hot gas that fuse hydrogen atoms into helium, releasing enormous amounts of energy. Earth doesn't have the mass or internal conditions to sustain nuclear fusion.
* Earth is a planet. It orbits a star (the Sun) and reflects light from that star. It does not produce its own light or heat like a star does.
While Earth is a fascinating and complex world, it's not a star. It's a planet orbiting a star.
