  • Aristotle's Geocentric Model: Earth at the Universe's Center
Aristotle, the Greek philosopher who lived from 384 to 322 BC, believed in a geocentric model of the universe. This model places the Earth at the center of the universe, with the Sun, Moon, and other planets revolving around it.

It's important to note that Aristotle's model was based on philosophical reasoning and observations rather than rigorous scientific experiments. He believed that the Earth was stationary because he observed that objects fell towards the Earth and that the stars always seemed to be in the same positions relative to each other.

While this model was widely accepted for centuries, it was eventually proven incorrect by the work of Nicolaus Copernicus in the 16th century, who proposed the heliocentric model, which places the Sun at the center of the solar system.
