  • Andromeda Galaxy Distance from Earth: A Comprehensive Guide
It's tricky to give a single distance for the Andromeda constellation because it's a vast collection of stars, not a single object.

However, we can talk about the distance to the Andromeda Galaxy, which is the galaxy that the constellation Andromeda is named after and the closest major galaxy to our own Milky Way.

The Andromeda Galaxy is roughly 2.5 million light-years away from Earth.

Important note: Light-years measure the distance light travels in a year, which is a huge distance! So, the light we see from Andromeda today actually left the galaxy 2.5 million years ago.
