  • Hyades Star Cluster: Our Solar System's Nearest Stellar Neighborhood
The closest star cluster to our solar system is the Hyades cluster.

It's located about 153 light-years away in the constellation Taurus. It's a relatively young cluster, about 625 million years old, and contains hundreds of stars, many of which are similar in age and composition to our Sun.

While there are closer individual stars, the Hyades is the closest collection of stars that formed together.
