  • The Moon: The Constant Companion in Earth Models (Geocentric & Heliocentric)
The object that orbits Earth in both the geocentric (Earth-centered) and heliocentric (Sun-centered) models is the Moon.

    Here's why:

    * Geocentric Model: In this model, the Earth is at the center of the universe, and the Moon orbits the Earth.

    * Heliocentric Model: In this model, the Sun is at the center of the solar system, and Earth orbits the Sun. The Moon, however, still orbits the Earth, just as Earth orbits the Sun.

It's important to note that the geocentric model is no longer accepted by the scientific community. However, it's still useful to understand how the Moon's orbit was perceived in the past.
