  • Stars vs. Saturn: Understanding Astronomical Distances
Yes, stars are much farther away from Earth than the planet Saturn.

    Here's why:

    * Saturn's distance: Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and is about 1.4 billion kilometers (886 million miles) from Earth at its closest point.

    * Nearest star: The nearest star to our solar system is Proxima Centauri, which is about 4.24 light-years away. This translates to roughly 40 trillion kilometers (25 trillion miles).

As you can see, the distance to the nearest star is significantly greater than the distance to Saturn.

Even the most distant stars in our galaxy are incredibly far away, measured in thousands or even millions of light-years.
