  • Human Exploration of Jupiter: Why We Haven't Landed Yet
No, humans have never visited Jupiter.

While we have sent numerous robotic spacecraft to study Jupiter, no human has ever set foot on the gas giant.

    Here's why:

    * Jupiter is a gas giant: It doesn't have a solid surface to land on.

    * Extreme conditions: Jupiter has intense radiation belts, a very strong magnetic field, and a turbulent atmosphere that would be fatal to humans.

    * Long travel time: It takes a long time to reach Jupiter, even with the fastest spacecraft.

However, humans have sent numerous spacecraft to study Jupiter, including the Juno mission, which is currently orbiting the planet and providing us with incredible insights about its atmosphere, composition, and magnetic field.
