  • Morning Star: What Planet Shines Brightly Before Sunrise?
The star commonly referred to as the "Morning Star" is actually Venus, the second planet from the Sun.

While it's not a star, Venus appears exceptionally bright in the sky due to its thick, reflective atmosphere and its proximity to Earth. It's often visible in the eastern sky before sunrise, earning it the nickname "Morning Star."

Similarly, it's also sometimes called the "Evening Star" when it's visible in the western sky after sunset.
