  • Understanding the Ecliptic Plane: Planets' Orbital Path Around the Sun
    The path where all planets move around the Sun is called the ecliptic.

    It's not a physical path like a road, but rather an imaginary plane that extends outward from the Sun, encompassing the orbits of all the planets. It's the plane of Earth's orbit, and since the other planets' orbits are tilted only slightly relative to Earth's, they all appear to move along this plane when viewed from Earth.
