    However, HST has played a crucial role in exoplanet research in other ways:

    * Atmospheric Characterization: HST's advanced instruments have been used to study the atmospheres of known exoplanets, revealing their composition, temperature, and even signs of potential weather patterns.

    * Confirmation of Exoplanets: HST observations have helped to confirm the existence of exoplanets discovered by other methods, by providing independent evidence.

    * Observing Extreme Environments: HST has been used to study exoplanets in extreme environments, such as those orbiting very close to their stars or those located in harsh conditions.

    Overall, while not a primary tool for exoplanet discovery, HST has made significant contributions to our understanding of these distant worlds. It's important to remember that different telescopes are optimized for different tasks, and each plays a vital role in advancing our knowledge of the universe.
