  • What Orbits the Sun Besides Planets and Moons? - Asteroids, Comets & Dwarf Planets
Here are three things that orbit the Sun along with the planets and their moons:

    1. Asteroids: These are rocky bodies that orbit the Sun, mostly found in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

    2. Comets: These are icy bodies that orbit the Sun in highly elliptical paths. When they get close to the Sun, they heat up and release gas and dust, creating their characteristic tails.

    3. Dwarf Planets: These are celestial bodies that orbit the Sun, are round due to their own gravity, but haven't cleared their orbital path of other objects. Examples include Pluto, Ceres, and Eris.
