  • How Clouds Form: A Simple Explanation of Condensation
Clouds form when water vapor in the air condenses into tiny water droplets or ice crystals.

    Here's why:

    * Water Vapor: The air always contains some amount of water vapor, which is invisible.

    * Cooling and Saturation: As air rises, it cools. Cooler air can hold less water vapor. When the air cools enough, it becomes saturated, meaning it can't hold any more water vapor.

    * Condensation: The excess water vapor then changes from a gas (vapor) into a liquid (water droplets) or solid (ice crystals). This process is called condensation.

    * Cloud Formation: These tiny droplets or crystals cluster together to form visible clouds.
