  • Understanding the Prime Meridian: Location and Significance
    The Prime Meridian runs north-south.

It is an imaginary line that runs from the North Pole to the South Pole and passes through the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, England. It is the starting point for measuring longitude, which is the angular distance, measured in degrees, east or west of the Prime Meridian.
